Lanyard Mockup
Show your ID badge on a lanyard with a logo repeated along the strap, then download a mockup image.

How to use the Lanyard Mockup
- In Badge design, click Upload your design, drop a file on the box, or paste an image. A sample card loads at the start, so you can replace it. You can also type text instead of uploading. If your artwork has a white background, switch on Remove white background.
- Optionally, add a file to Strap logo. It repeats along both strap strands. Leave it empty for a plain strap.
- Set Badge direction to Portrait (the default) or Landscape.
- Choose a Strap colour from the list, or pick a custom colour with the colour picker.
- Choose a Background. The default is Light concrete.
- Pick a Download size: Standard or Large.
- Click Download PNG or Download JPG.
You can also click Sample card, Sample logo or Sample art under a slot to try the tool first, and use the text box if you only want to show a name or a short line of text on the badge. Your settings are kept in the page address. Copy the link to reopen the same view later or to send it to someone else. The same settings always produce the same picture, so you can rebuild a mockup exactly as it was.
How to make a lanyard mockup
To make a lanyard mockup, place your badge artwork on a realistic badge and strap, then export the result as an image. This tool handles the drawing: you supply the design, and it builds the scene with the strap, hook and ring already in place.
The result depends on the badge size, its orientation and the shape of your artwork. Prepare a clean design file at the matching proportions, then check the preview before you download. Keep important text and logos away from the edges so they are not cut off.
What size is an ID badge
An ID badge drawn here uses the ID-1 credit-card size from ISO/IEC 7810, which is 85.60 × 53.98 mm, with corners rounded to a 3.18 mm radius. That is the same size as a bank card and the size most plastic ID cards use. In the tool, a portrait badge is 53.98 × 85.60 mm, about 638 × 1011 px at 300 dpi, and a landscape badge is 1011 × 638 px.
The badge design fills the whole badge with a cover fit. If your artwork’s proportions differ from the badge, the overflow is cropped rather than stretched. The strap is drawn about 20 mm wide next to the 54 mm wide badge. That width is a drawing choice, not a standard, so do not use it as a printing specification.
Should the badge be portrait or landscape
Portrait is the default. It matches the upright way many lanyard badges hang, with the strap attached at the top. Landscape is wider and suits a design built as a horizontal card, such as a pass with a long name line.
Choose the orientation first, then prepare your artwork at the matching ratio: 53.98 × 85.60 mm for portrait or 85.60 × 53.98 mm for landscape. Because the design is cropped to fit, a mismatch cuts off part of your artwork, so check the preview for missing text or logos near the edges.
Can I put my logo on the lanyard strap
Yes. Upload your logo in the Strap logo box and it is repeated along both strap strands. The logo is fitted inside the width of the strap with a margin, so a simple, bold logo reads best. A transparent PNG looks best because the strap colour shows around the logo. Without a strap logo, the strap stays plain. Your badge artwork is set separately in Badge design.
Frequently asked questions
Is this lanyard mockup free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no paid option.
Can I use the mockup commercially?
Yes. You can use the images you download here to show and sell your own designs and products — in shop listings, ads, social posts and portfolios — with no credit required. You may not resell the blank scenes themselves as mockup templates or use them to run a similar service; see the terms.
Is my design file uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser, and your design file is never uploaded.
What download sizes and formats are available?
Choose Standard at 1600 × 1200 px or Large at 2400 × 1800 px. Then download the image as a PNG or a JPG.
Can I type text instead of uploading a design?
Yes. Each design slot has a text box, so you can type your text rather than upload an image. Each slot also accepts PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and SVG files.
Is the scene a photo?
No. The badge, the lanyard, their shadows and the background are drawn by code in your browser, so there is no stock photo involved and the same settings always give the same picture.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. The tool runs in your browser tab, so there is nothing to install and no account to create. Open the page, add your design and download the result.
